Envision our conversations as a welcoming and supportive space where you feel at ease to tell me your story.

WHO I'M HERE FOR—
YEA, I'M TALKING TO YOU.

You’re used to setting high standards, striving for excellence, and taking on everything that comes your way.  But that drive can leave you feeling unfulfilled, exhausted, and disconnected from the person you are when no one is watching.

Through my program "The Power of Being You," you'll develop a deep understanding of the stories you've been telling yourself—the ones that have shaped your current behaviors, beliefs, and fears.  You'll learn to rewrite those stories, shedding the outdated patterns that no longer serve you.

By intentionally crafting a vision for your future self, you'll be empowered to make decisions that align with your true identity and purpose.

The result?  You'll experience a significant shift in your overall well-being, breaking free from burnout, self-doubt, and fear of judgment, and stepping confidently into a life that feels fulfilling, balanced and authentically yours.

"Will you be at my hockey game tonight?" our six-year old son, Max, asked me with a slight smile.

"Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I'll definitely try to make it," I replied, watching his smile slowly start to fade.

Either way, I knew I was going to feel guilty about my decision.  Should I leave work early, even though I had a mountain of work to catch up on, or skip his game and beat myself up later for being a "bad mom?"  Typically I did both, convincing myself 5-6 hours of sleep was more than enough.

I routinely felt like I was letting others' down, that I was a disappointment to people who relied on me—so I worked harder, longer, took on more.

I'd spent my whole life trying to avoid judgment and criticism for fear I would be rejected and abandoned.  And so I was willing to do whatever it took to be everything to everyone, even if it meant sacrificing my mental and physical health, as well as my own happiness.  I was convinced it was the only way.

WANTING IT ALL— AT ANY COST.

MY TURNING POINT

My habit of putting stuff off started around high school age when I would wait until the last day to turn in my assignments, pull an all-nighter to get a project done, or cram the few hours before an exam.

Because it seemed to be working "okay" for me, I continued being a procrastinator as an adult.  I didn't love that part of me, but it was comfortable.  Yet, it always bugged me that I had just sort of accepted these behaviors as "it's just who I am."

When I learned about identity-based coaching, I knew it was my "way out."

I took on the identity of someone decisive, proactive, and highly productive.  My newly formed actions and behaviors became naturally easy as I assumed this new identity.

It was so amazing to figure this out.  I'd long believed it would be impossible to change - yet it was totally possible.

Because it's too good to keep to myself, I got my certification and now I'm ready to help you!  Trust me, it's not that complicated but it is life changing!

PROCRASTINATION AND PERFECTIONISM GO TOGETHER.

Living in a cycle of needing to be perfect before feeling like you can put yourself out there can be incredibly damaging to your psyche.

While it may seem procrastination and perfectionism are opposites, for me they were like two sides of the same coin.

Both left me feeling stuck, anxious and overwhelmed.

The perfectionist in me set incredibly high standards that were simply unattainable.  The procrastinator in me avoided starting things because of those impossible standards.

Together, they created a cycle that put a pause on my progress and stole my peace of mind.

It wasn't until I fully realized that perfectionism isn't some badge of honor to wear proudly, it was hijacking my life right in front of me.

I had perfectionism riding in my passenger seat and procrastination and self-doubt in the backseat.  It was time to drop them off at the next exit.

I intellectually knew I needed to make changes however I worried about how change would bring uncertainty, which likely would trigger higher stress and anxiety.

My brain wanted to stick with the familiar, even at the risk of my physical and mental health.

As an over-achiever, Type A personality, I thought I could power through it.  It worked in the past.

I realized if I kept going like I was, shoving my feelings down and ignoring the physical symptoms, my life was not going to miraculously get better.

I needed to hunker down and intentionally welcome change to create the life I would love.  So that's just what I did!  And so can you - one step at a time.

OUR BRAINS DON'T LIKE CHANGE.

Which is why "being stuck" can be challenging to get out of without extra support.

MY OFFICIAL BIO

For almost thirty years I was fortunate enough to be employed by two highly regarded companies on the Forbes' Top 50 list, both of whom I have incredibly fond feelings for today.

Let me back up a bit—I chose to be intentional about my career, knowing from a young age I wanted a job that helped other people.  After undergrad, I started working full-time while pursuing my masters degree.  I'm kind of a book nerd and learning is something I love.

As a Vice-President of Human Resources, I had the opportunity to work alongside a diverse group of executives at various levels and help them thrive in the workplace - managing change effectively, achieving short and long-term goals, and balancing the needs of the business with their personal wants and desires.

As my career progressed, I was blessed with the chance to live with my family in many cities throughout the United States,  Moving around and getting acclimated to new cultures, different ways of doing things and regional/local uniquenesses have all been so rewarding.  It's greatly influenced my ability to relate to all different types of individuals from differing backgrounds, while being focused on helping them lead satisfying lives.

Yes, it really is "that cold" here and yes, the people really do live up to their "minnesota nice" nickname.

I can whip together Ikea furniture like no one's business! What a skill, eh?

Rude, inconsiderate, mean people are the worst.  Waiting in line is a solid runner-up.

I find true crime to be so intriguing.  We can learn a lot about humanity through criminal cases.

Love to watch sports here, and the food is pretty amazing too!

My website was designed by Tonic Site Shop. I absolutely loved working with Tonic, and I can hardly believe I'm able to customize, update, and maintain my site MYSELF without having to edit code, email a developer, or empty an entire bottle of wine.

TONIC's line of completely customizable site templates for modern, stylish creatives are basically website templates for people who think they don't like website templates. They make beautiful design affordable, accessible to everyone — no code, no tears, no limits. And there's a fun twist: all of their site designs are inspired by cocktails! My favorites? Margarita, Clover Club, and Paper Plane!
